March 2006 - The trip in March was fabulous! There were 19 of us building two houses with Habitat for Humanity in Siguatepeque. Although this village is about an hour from Santa Cruz, we did take a day to have lunch with the children. They enjoyed it just as well as all of us. On Saturday, as we headed back to San Pedro Sula for our farewell evening, we did stop by the shelter in San Pedro Sula. There we were greeted by 23 children, 6 staff and a new staff of volunteers. The staff made sure that there were enough translators so everyone could talk with the children. The pictures that you are seeing are of our newly expanded and painted shelter in San Pedro Sula. Of course, you can also see how happy everyone is to be there. I hope at some time you all may get to visit our shelters in Honduras! Enjoy!
